Technique breakdown / ( how to rail a rut)

Technique breakdown / ( how to rail a rut)

Let’s build some aggression, take a look here at some technique to study for when you’re ready to start diving into those deep ruts, you’ll be ready to drag bars!
-

1. HEAD, This may seem strange but the position of you head makes all the diffewrence when it comes to corner speed. Your body will always follow, remember to start your corner with leaning your head, your body and bike will naturally follow this process.

-

2. SHOULDERS, Notice the shoulders squared as well as leaning into the corner, This normally follows your head once you begin with your head, but as you increase your speed you will need to be sure to keep your shoulders in mind, being sure you're dropping that inside shoulder into the corner.

-

3. INSIDE LEG, this is an obvious no brainer, as you increase your speed and depending on how deep the rut is you have to keep this in mind and keep your inside leg high, dabbing your foot is such a silly mistake that is mostly just laziness.

-

Please keep in mind these tips are all based on current practice conditions seen above as this can change slightly when it comes to traction, line selection, dirt, etc..  Start slow with these tips and watch the progress!
