Pre moto rituals

This tittle might be slightly misleading as to what exactly I mean by “ritual” when I say ritual I am referring to something you do before every moto/race to prime your mind/body to either calm or excite yourself I want you to try something called the 4-7-8 breathing exercise next time you’re in staging nervous before a race, and watch what happens to your heart rate. This is something I started to mess with in ’09, and I started to notice a huge difference it allows you to get your mind off the race for a bit while you can simply focus on yourself and what you need to do to preform your best. While you do this close your eyes and visualize yourself on the track hitting all your lines perfectly and really get into it. See the track and yourself doing exactly what you want on the track perfect. Now lets talk about another gesture to let your brain know its race time, you will see almost every top rider do this, pick a small gesture such as clapping your hands or shaking your hands out before you take off to for a race or a moto for practice. The key to this one is doing each and every time you plan to ride your best or else it is useless but you must do it each time you do a moto or sprint lap, pretty soon your brain knows when you do your gesture whatever that may be its time to “go” I know this sounds a bit crazy but it is something that really helped me step my race game up and it may help you, also can’t hurt to try! They say racing is 90% mental 10% physical and most riders are doing nothing to strengthen their mental strength. This is what makes my classes so much different than others. I work to unlock your full potential and that comes by not doing more laps, but by working more on your mental strength.
